This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use MortgageCalculatorsAndRates.com. The short version: your calculator inputs never leave your device, we don't sell or share anything, and the only place we collect any personal information is the optional contact form.

Calculator inputs

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Loan amounts, interest rates, income figures, or any other numbers you type in are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by any server. If you close the tab or reload the page, your inputs are gone.

Contact form

The contact page has an optional form. If you choose to use it, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit. Submissions are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form delivery service, and delivered to the site operator's email inbox. That information is used only to read and respond to your message — it is never added to a mailing list, used for marketing, or shared with anyone else. The form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly CAPTCHA alternative that verifies you're not a bot without using tracking cookies; it's covered by the same Cloudflare privacy policy referenced above.

Theme preference

Your choice of light or dark theme is saved in your browser's localStorage, a small storage area tied to this site. It is not a tracking cookie, it isn't sent to any server, and it isn't shared with or readable by other websites. It's used only to remember your preference the next time you visit.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare's infrastructure may log standard request metadata — such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL — for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes, in line with Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We don't have a separate server or database of our own collecting this data.

Analytics

We plan to use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site. It is cookieless and does not track or fingerprint individual visitors across sites — it reports aggregate metrics like page views and load times, not individual browsing behavior.

Advertising

We intend to show ads through Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running this site. Once ads are live, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

CSV downloads

Where a calculator offers a "download CSV" option (such as an amortization schedule), that file is generated locally in your browser from your inputs and saved directly to your device. It never passes through a server.

No selling, no marketing list

We do not sell or rent visitor data to anyone. There is no newsletter and no account registration on this site. The only personal information we ever see is what you choose to type into the contact form, and it's used solely to reply to you.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site adds features such as analytics or advertising. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
